The Psychedelic Experience as a Sublime Aesthetic
My undergraduate dissertation explored both Kant and Burke's accounts of the sublime as a way of analyzing the psychedelic experience. I focused heavily on the duality of terror and awe that characterize Burke's sublime and the psychedelic experience as presented in prior literature. After completing it, I presented my dissertation at PsychedelX, the largest student psychedelics conference.
